About NormXL
NormXL does one thing: it qualifies the calculation spreadsheets that accredited inspection bodies, testing and calibration laboratories and medical device manufacturers rely on, deterministically and inside the browser, and documents the result in a Validation Dossier an assessor can check by hand.
Why NormXL exists
In regulated work, the calculations that release a product, pass an inspection or report a measurement very often live in Excel. Once someone writes a formula, the standards treat the workbook as software that must be validated, and assessors and auditors ask to see the evidence.
There have usually been two ways to produce it. Teams spent days transcribing formulas, checking results with a calculator and filling a blank template; or they hired a consultant and waited weeks. Most of that work is mechanical: recalculate every formula, check every lock, test the values at the limits, list every constant. Mechanical work is what software does consistently, and it should not cost a quality team its week before an assessment.
How we work
- Deterministic, not generative. The same file always produces the same Dossier. No language model writes or interprets anything in it, because a validation record has to be reproducible.
- Evidence you can check by hand. Every claim in a Dossier is backed by values a reviewer can recompute: test vectors, recalculated results, and the SHA-256 fingerprint of the exact file.
- Your workbook stays with you. Everything runs in your browser and 0 KB of your workbook is uploaded. The Security & 0 KB Upload page explains how, and how to verify it.
- Honest boundaries. NormXL qualifies calculation templates. A spreadsheet used as a live, multi-user primary record needs a LIMS, an eQMS or a validated database, and we say so before you order.
- Independence. NormXL is independent software. We are not affiliated with any accreditation body, notified or approved body or regulator, and NormXL does not grant, recommend or influence accreditation or certification. NormXL produces evidence; your organisation approves it.
- One price for everyone. A Single Dossier costs €149 + VAT and the Annual Quality Register €490/year + VAT, on every market, with no sales calls and no negotiation.
Where we are now
NormXL 7.0, with dedicated compliance modules for ISO/IEC 17020:2026 (Clause 7.5), ISO/IEC 17025:2017 (Clause 7.11) and ISO 13485, is in final pre-release qualification. A tool that produces validation evidence has to meet the standard it asks of your spreadsheets, so we release it only when its own regression suite and its NIST StRD benchmark are complete. Orders placed now are reserved at the standard price, and nothing is charged until you confirm after release.
Who publishes NormXL
NormXL is published by Velmundi Group, an independent business based in Warsaw, Poland, and registered for VAT in the European Union. We work in English and serve business customers in the European Union, the United Kingdom and beyond. Full company details are in the legal notice.
